When: Wednesday, November 18, 2015, 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM
Where: Offices of Constangy & MCB, 1st Floor Conference Center, 12500 Fair Lakes Circle, Fairfax, VA 22033

The already complicated world of wage and hour compliance is about to get more complicated. Wage and hour rules dictated by state law, federal law, and Executive Order will be changing as new rules go into effect in the coming months and year. Are you and your organization prepared for these changes?

Please join Maureen Knight, wage and hour expert and Partner at Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, for an interactive forum as she explains existing, newly-effective and emerging rules, and the impact on the government contractor workforce.
This program will address:
  • Common wage hour problems that affect all contractors
  • Joint employment issues between prime contractors and subcontractors
  • Reconciling the salary pay requirement of overtime exemptions with the typical hourly fee structure for government contractor employees
  • What contactors above and below the 50-employee threshold need to know
  • Higher and increasing minimum wage rates
  • Mandated paid sick leave for certain federal contractors
  • New overtime rules likely to go into effect next year.

This event encourages networking with other federal contractors and will give attendees a snapshot of what other contractors are doing with interactive polling throughout the program.

This course has been approved for 1.5 HRCI credit hours and 1 CPE credit hour.
